Depending on where you want to stay and your budget, there are a variety of accommodation options in the centre of Florence and its’ surrounds.
The old town is beautiful and located on the northern side of the river, Fiume Arno. If you haven’t been to Florence before, its a must see BUT it is quite touristy.
Hotels can be a little pricey in Florence, so if there is a group of you we would perhaps recommend staying in a self-catered apartment as they have much more character, still well located and a fraction of the price.
For those that want to indulge a little, there are plenty of hotel choices with great rooftop facilities, perfect to enjoy the start of the European summer.
If you’re looking to stay in a more local/fun part of Florence, you’d be better off staying south of Fiume Arno, which is also more conveniently located to Villa Le Piazzole (the wedding venue).
